How do you pretreat a cooling tower?
Cooling Tower Pretreatment, PQ 332, is a stabilized liquid blend of polyphosphate, orthophosphate, and an organic corrosion inhibitor designed for the pretreatment of open recirculating cooling tower systems. Although pretreatment is recommended for most systems, it is particularly critical in those systems having Galvanized cooling towers to prevent the formation of white rust.

What is a Cooling Tower Pretreatment Chemical?
PQ 332 is a stabilized liquid blend of polyphosphate, orthophosphate, and an organic corrosion inhibitor designed for the pretreatment of open recirculating cooling tower systems. Although pretreatment is recommended for most systems, it is particularly critical in those systems having galvanized cooling towers to prevent the formation of white rust.

This is a single product multi-component formulation and it is effectivel while it passivates galvanized towers against white rust.  This product saves time and money over conventional treatments

How do I feed a Cooling Tower Pretreatment Chemical?
PQ 332 is normally shot fed into a chemical pot feeder.  The product is normally added directly from the shipping container.  Feeders, piping, and valves should be made of steel, polyethylene, or PVC.  PQ 332 is normally added to the system at 34 lbs per 1000 gallons of system volume.  See Technical Bulletin for additional details.  The technical specialist servicing the facility will provide specific treatment control levels based on system conditions.
