What is a Chemical Pot Feeder?
A chemical pot feeder is common industry name used for By-Pass Feeders. Neptune By-Pass Feeders are a convenient method of introducing treatment chemicals into closed circulating water systems. Neptune By-Pass Feeders are ideal for treating hot and chilled water circulating loops used in heating and air conditioning systems, process heating and cooling or large engine water jackets.

What type of by-pass feeder should I purchase?
For single loop water systems, the most popular choices is Neptune by-pass feeders. Neptune offers four styles of By-Pass Feeders.

The first group and most popular are Neptune "VTF" and "DBF" feeders. The "DBF" model sits direct on the floor and the "VTF" model comes with leg and is bolted to the floor. If you have a dual water system, you may choose to save money and purchase a 4 fitting Neptune "VTF" Series filter.

The second grouping is a Neptune Cart Ridge Filter Feeder. These may be used in applications that prefer a cartridge filter instead of a bag filter.

The final one any becoming very popular is is a Neptune Filter Feeder. These feeders come with removable stainless steel baskets and filter bags.
